Social networking is basically a platform to build social networks or social relations among
people who share interests, activities, backgrounds, or real-life connections. Social networking
consists of the user creating a profile of his/her social links, and other additional services.
Most social networking sites are web-based which means people can interact over the
Internet, such as emailing and instant messaging other users. Social networking provides a
variety of services, for example, online community which usually means the services are group
centered. Social networking sites also allow their user’s to share ideas, pictures, posts, activities,
events, and interests with other user’s in their network.
The main types of social networking contain categories like places (former school or
classmates), a way to connect with friends (self-description page), and recommended links to
trust. Some popular American-based social networking sites that are used worldwide that
combine many of these services are Facebook, Google+, tumblr, and Twitter.
Since social media is becoming more widely used an increasing number of manufacturers are
