Act 1
Scene 1: Agriculture
Farmer 1: Isn't it much easier to grow our own food in the fields than hunt and gather in the wild?
Farmer 2: Especially with all this technology like irrigation, the wheel and domesticated animals.
Farmer 1: Oh yes! Everything becomes much easier with the oxen helping with tough work and donkeys pulling all the carts!
Farmer 2: And there's more than enough barley, wheat, dates and grain to sell the surplus at the market!
Farmer 1: Life is good.
Scene 2: Food
Farmer 1: Honey! Where is our food, our guest has been waiting!
Farmer 2: No, no it's quite alright. I'm not very hungry anyways.
Farmer 1: But I insist!
Wife: Danilum! Take this out to the table and serve the guest!
Slave: Yes miss. (walks to table) Here are your meals sir.
Farmer 1: Thank you Danilum.
Farmer 2: I love all the varety of food we have in Akkad... dates, hummus, beer, honey and milk... all amazing dishes.
Farmer 1: And much easier to find and prepare than the little meat and plants we'd find hunting and foraging in the wild!
Farmer 2: Agreed old friend, agreed. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else than Akkad!
Scene 3: Economy
Farmer 1: Ah Ilurabi good friend! What brings you to the marketplace!
Farmer 2: Galili! I just returned from the bank, I have to sell some surplus grain and buy textiles for the wife, what about you?
Farmer 1:Well I've been waiting for a shipment of ivory for two weeks now! The merchants promised it'd be in today!
Merchant 1: I did say that, and you know Galili, I always keep my word, the finest ivory in the fertile crescent, all yours!
Farmer 1: Ahh very good, it's incredible how we can find anything we need at the marketplace, I can't imagine how the hunter gatherers manage!
Merchant 2: And anyone can become a merchant or trader, Akkad is a place of opportunity!
Act 2
Scene 1: War
