In today’s modern world, there are many controversies, and one in particular catches my attention: embryonic stem cell research. With this research, numerous diseases could be cured such as many brain disorders such as cerebral palsy, Alzheimer’s, and other diseases like Leukemia, but the real controversy is the fact that it kills babies.
Some people are ok with this, but many people are highly offended and think it is insane to kill babies. My question to them is why? Why are you so highly offended? The use of embryonic cells is only a matter of survival. It is much like the case of Count Ugolino. Count Ugolino and his kids were locked in a tower by his friend who betrayed him, Ruggieri. He was locked in la Torre della Fame, the Tower of Hunger. Count Ugolino was starving and so were his kids and they died before him, so he only did what he had to survive. He just ate his children. No big deal. He only tore open his children and ripped out their guts. No problem there. He only filled his mouth with the very flesh he helped to procreate. He only ate his children, the very things god hath commanded him to protect and cherish with all his love, but the man was hungry so he ate them. Likewise, embryonic cells are like those dead kids. Because they are not alive, it is perfectly ok just to eat them, or use their cells. Technically, since the kids of Ugolino were dead, they had no conscious. The babies in the embryonic stage also have only part of a conscious. They are only a partly alive and they have not fully developed, so if you round down, they are pretty much dead, so it is perfectly ok to consume them into our systematic destruction of babies and living things.
It is also very important to kill babies… I mean use their cells for research. We have to cure old people. Old people are dying every day from the horrible disease of Alzheimer’s. It eats their brains away and eventually they forget everything. Luckily, scientists have found a cure. By...
